Series 15 - Chain, zip-open along the outer radius

1. Quick opening and closing by means of zipper band
2. For high acceleration
3. Version with larger pins and double stop-dog system for long service life and long unsupported length
4. Zipper can be lengthened and shortened at any chain link
5. Small pitch for quiet, smooth running
6. Mounting bracket with integrated strain relief possible
7. Internal separation with separators and full-width shelves possible
8. Also available as Zipper e-tube
Series R15

Series 15 new is suitable for the following types of applications:

Vertical: Hanging applications, standing applications
Horizontal: Unsupported applications ≤ 1.2 m
Circular movement: Rotating application possible, if necessary with reworking (from 180° rotation angle mechanical reworking is always necessary)

When to use Series 15 new

If quick opening is required - like a zipper
When many connection options are required (Quicksnap, Quickfix, etc.)
If interior separation is required
When high strength and long service life are required

When not to use Series 15 new

If the links do not need to be openable
Series 10 E2 mini
When there is torsion
Series E14 easy chain®
If the chain has to be openable along the inner radius
Series B15i E2 mini
When an enclosed tube system is required

Unsupported length

The unsupported length depends on fill weight

fill weight = 0.75 [kg/m]
unsupported length FLB = 0.85 m

Separators are used if a vertical division of the chain interior is required. Standard interior separation with separator, slotted 154 Also for combinations with full-width shelf 111.X As standard, separators are mounted at every second chain link. Full-width shelves are required when using many small cables with similar diameters.
Side plate 156 can be combined with separator, slotted 154 and full-width shelf 111.X

The "Super-aluminium" trough is a modular system of guide troughs for long travels (where e-chains® glide on each other). The basic "Super-aluminium" trough is available in simple, cost-effective "basic designs" and can be expanded for sophisticated plant construction.This universal usability makes it the recommended igus® standard for guide troughs.
